All of the tools, practices and resources in this book have to be experienced to be felt. However, WORDS ARE YOUR WAND! Whether inside your head, written down or spoken, your words have energy and they influence how you feel. AFFIRMATIONS The best place to start, is to say a general affirmation: eg ‘I approve of myself’ as often as you can, inside your head. If you feel fearful, state how that feels and then create an affirmation to reverse it e.g. I’m feeling anxious about the exam today = feeling It’s 5pm & I am feeling good that my exam is over = affirmation If you lack confidence about how you look, describe it and then create an affirmation that reverses it: e.g. My hair is thin and weak = current description My hair is healthy and strong = affirmation Tip: Take a Power Shower and loudly affirm as you go! Affirmations can be used to shift your thinking about anything but remember: * Keep them light and simple *Always affirm in the present tense *Repeat every day for 5 minutes, for 30 days minimum 21
