These can range from mood disorders, such as depression or bipolar affective disorder; anxiety disorders, including obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) to psychotic disorders including schizophrenia and postpartum psychosis. The perinatal community mental health team provides support at or close to home for mothers with moderate to serious mental health needs, both before and following delivery of their babies.
