Winners of the rethinkyourmind project 2015 are announced from today (Monday 11th May) and throughout Mental Health Awareness Week.

 

All 50 Yellow Book winners have been announced!

Project closes for entries

the rethinkyourmind project has now closed for creative entries.

We send our thanks to everyone that got involved and helped to creatively support positive mental health.

The project is now coming up to assessment time, the art and photography will be assessed at the end of March and the poetry assessed early April.

Further to the exciting involvement of Peterborough Regional College from January and significant interest from other colleges in recent weeks – we have decided to extend the closing date to 15th March 2015.

This gives you all an additional few weeks to submit your entries and we look forward to receiving them 🙂

Mark Morriss joins ‘rethinkyourmind’

Wonderful news, The lead singer of the band ‘The Bluetones’ Mark Morriss has joined award winning folk artist Lucy Ward, ‘refuge’ and Olivia Rose Dean to become one of the 4 music singles for the ‘rethinkyourmind’ project this year!

Since The Bluetones went their separate ways Mark has enjoyed a solo career releasing 2 solo albums and touring extensively.

Mark Morriss:

As lead singer with The Bluetones he enjoyed a 15 year recording career that produced 6 studio albums,

3 top 10 albums in the UK, Including #1 album ‘Expecting to Fly’

13 Top 40 singles and a Brit nomination in 1996.

A judge on the Album Of The Year panel for the Ivor Novello Awards.

Recorded the Title and Chapter music for the 6 audio book versions of  David Walliams’ children’s stories.

This means that selected poems will become Mark’s lyrics or be recorded as a spoken word piece for the b-side of the single and selected art/photography will become the front cover artwork for Mark’s ‘rethinkyourmind’ single.

Remember that selected entrants will be presented with an iPad Air at the prize presentation at the House of Lords 2015 hosted by Professor Lord Patel of Bradford OBE and have the opportunity to meet Mark Morriss in person.
