I met Pete, the Project Creator, in June 2014 and I felt so passionate about The Yellow Book and its purpose, I set up a not-for-profit company with Pete, to support it and enable its sustainable future. At around the same time, I had founded The Centre of Wellbeing with a vision to putting wellbeing on the map. I felt that The Yellow Book and The Centre of Wellbeing were very similar, in many ways, because of their focus on empowerment & feeling better as well as providing & signposting to support. My specialism is mindfulness and I love it because of its simplicity and accessibility. I love that more and more schools are embracing the practice and I hope that its popularity will continue to rise and it will become more and more mainstream. Similarly, it is my hope that The Yellow Book becomes the norm for every organisation because expressing ourselves creatively leads to wellbeing. We are entering a new era of understanding that our thinking and our emotions play a part in our sense of wellbeing. The most empowered way to maintain wellbeing then, is to be aware of your thinking and feelings…which is being mindful!
