k u .co. mind our y think re #IFeelBetterWhen Jean ‘Binta’ Breeze Jean ‘Binta’ Breeze is an internationally renowned Jamaican poet and playwright, well known for her mastery of the ‘dub’ artform. Her words carry powerful political and personal messages, and audiences relate to and are inspired by her work. She is the author of many poetry collections most recently Third World Girl (Bloodaxe) which combines writing from previous collections and new poems. Her former awards include a NESTA and a Writing Fellowship at the University of Leicester. Now based in Jamaica, Ms Breeze tours England in spring and autumn with producers renaissance one, and as part of an event marking International Women’s Day, has appeared on BBC World Service’s The Forum.
