We are delighted to launch the 3rd edition of The Yellow Book Wellbeing Resource for the University of Nottingham on #UniMentalHealthDay.
After the success of the first two editions of The University of Nottingham Physics & Astronomy Yellow Book we were delighted to work once again with Professor Mark Fromhold, Lucy Ward and the Physics and Astronomy team to help them produce the 3rd edition of their Yellow Book wellbeing resource. We send thanks to President and Vice Chancellor Professor Shearer West CBE for writing the foreword and helping to assess the fantastic entries. We are thrilled that the 4th edition of the resource is already underway with the aim that each resource will help to support the next intake of students.
The book features fantastic creativity from the students. These images were inspired by the things that mean the most to them and uplift them. The images were used by students in communications skills workshops as a way to introduce themselves and develop their presentation skills. Congratulations to all of those selected to be published in the resource!
Pages of the book are dedicated to signposting people to the support that they can find within the University through HealthyU. As standard the book includes a 30 page wellbeing section full of empowering ways to support our wellbeing developed by our company director Claire Evans and a team of therapists. Claire owns and runs The Centre of Wellbeing. The Yellow Book resource then signposts to national support organisations.
500 copies of the book have been printed and are being distributed to students, staff and visitors.
We send deepest gratitude to the assessment team Vice Chancellor Professor Shearer West CBE, Lamar Francois and Dr Ulrike Kuchner.
