3rd Edition! – The Leicester College Audio Yellow Book

| 0

Congratulations to Leicester College Creative Arts & Media Student Alex French whose creativity has been selected from all the fantastic entries to be the cover art for the 3rd Edition of The Leicester College Audio Yellow Book! The digital wellbeing resource is being made available college wide for all students and staff to download for free.

The images created for this project were inspired by the ‘Notes of Thanks’ project and song with it’s creative theme of gratitude. Amazing work came from the creative arts and media students at Leicester College. Thanks to all involved.

Students and staff will also have access to The Yellow Book 5th Edition. The online flipbook version mirrors up to the wellbeing section in the audio resource and contains signposting to many national mental health and wellbeing organisations and charities that can support.

Assessor and acclaimed concept body artist Emma Fay had the challenging job of selecting just 2 images from all the wonderful entries.

Congratulations to Leicester College Students Alex French & Lidia Negru whose pieces were chosen to be published in the 5th Edition of The Yellow Book – the national wellbeing resource!

The Audio Yellow Book is a digital wellbeing resource, providing simple tools, practices, spoken word and music with the aim to help empower people in maintaining their health.

It’s been fantastic to work with Kirsty Munroe, Natalie Ventrone and the creative arts and media team at Leicester College to help to produce the wellbeing resources for the college.

Thanks to all involved in the project!

National Yellow Book Selections!

“The entries were beautifully composed and very difficult to make selections as the quality was very high in the art works shared.”

Working closely with rethinkyourmind Emma’s passion for wellbeing and Mental Health has led to creating pieces for the Yellow Book project and video artwork led by the winning entries for the ‘I Feel Better When’ campaign. Her latest project ‘Inpire’, saw live artwork being created in public library spaces and at Riverside Festival, commissioned by Arts Council England, Leicester City Council and Mist Air body paints. These artworks explored Inspiration, Health and Wellbeing, prompted by the idea of how expression and play keep us well.
