k u .co. mind our y think re #IFeelBetterWhen Lewis Buttery Lewis Buttery is an experienced freelance young-artist who has been delivering community arts projects in Leicester since 2014. He delivered weekly arts workshops in HMP Glen Parva from 2014 until the prison’s closure in 2017 and has been delivering similar arts workshops in HMP Leicester since 2017. Lewis was involved in Talent Unlocked, which was an arts and music festival based inside Leicester prison and the first of its kind. He curated an exhibition of artwork by prisoners there and artwork by students at DMU which was on show in the visitors’ centre throughout the festival. Lewis also spent a week working with prisoners during the festival to design and paint a mural inside HMP Leicester. His work in prisons is on behalf of local charity Soft Touch Arts and has culminated in numerous exhibitions of prison art: both in prison settings and in Soft Touch’s exhibition space in Leicester’s City Centre. www.lewisbutterytoast.com Art Assessor 70
