The Fire and The Flame

The expanse of the desert
Is hottest at noon
But i prefer
The cooler times
At dusk, at dawn, the dunes
Turn blue
A humming azure hue.
The softening of the heat and light,
The warmth awash with tempered might,
The dulling of the minds taut burn,
Today we have achieved the sane,
Walked through the fire
Through the flame.
