46 Pimlico Road

46 Pimlico Road does not exist but it is a deralict building that I go to when the pain and voices start. I escape the real world and wander waround this building. It is quiet and forgiving. I can be myself here without worry and I’m isolated. I feel better in 46 Pimlico Road

I am happy when I can chat with the cows. Sometimes there’s things in my mind that I find difficult to find the right words with people, so to offload I set off to talk with the cows. They listen and are non-judgemental. Well all they do is eat grass and pose for photos. It helps me find the right words to talk to humans.

I am happy when I am out in nature, listening to the songs of the natural world. Mixing photography with being outdoors helps with my concentration when it is non-existent.

I feel better when I am…..standing surrounded by the beauty of the world.
This is the start of what became an amazing sunset over Beacon Hill, an act of natural beauty.

Mixed textiles and embroidery

Inspired by this poem by Mark R Slanghter
Upon a fuzzy vista – vision blurred –
I tried to focus; nothing ever solid
Came to view, but undeterred, I blinked
An eye to try again. Through the mist
A coloured hue; polychromatic flames
Had flickered at a whim; a rhythm bore
A thrumming too: a naturalistic hymn.
Behold! Were I to find a synonym to
Reproduce or recreate
The apparition of a butterfly,
Evolving through the waning vapour,
Drawing on a sigh from this romantic.
Glory be! The raging sun above
Had fired his furnace, flaming off
The hangers on. Now I saw the flare:
His time has come. He spread a tortoiseshell –
A scene of Mother Nature at her best.
I lay in peace in knowing I was blessed.

I enjoyed creating my landscape using Blender. I find it easier and more enjoyable to create digitally with 3D modelling, than with photography or painting. The outcome of the piece was a complete surprise to myself and it thought that it looked better than what I had envisioned.
